When parents face the tremendously difficult realization that they have reached a point in their lives where they can no longer provide their child(ren) with the level of care they deserve, they reach out to the Alpha Omega Miracle Home to find a family that can temporarily provide their child(ren) with a safe, healthy, Christian living environment, until they are ready to once again bring their child(ren) safely home.

Parents make the decision to find an extended family for their child(ren) for many reasons: battling a drug addiction, crippling bouts of depression, financial crises, etc. In their time of crisis and distress, the Alpha-Omega Miracle Home provides families with an alternative to placing their child(ren) in the care of the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and finds for them a safe haven for their child(ren) in the homes of loving, Christian families dedicated to the physical and spiritual health of the child(ren) and reuniting them with their biological parents.

The Extended Families of Alpha-Omega have all gone through an extensive process that validates their ability to provide the services and family/living environment commensurate with the expectations of our program. Below are a list of fundamental requirements an individual or family must have in order to become an extended family under the purview of Alpha-Omega:

• Have no criminal history of physical abuse to a minor, drug abuse, or domestic abuse
• Financial stability to provide basic needs for the child(ren) (AOMH does not run a foster care program where funds are received by the state or our organization for taking care of the child(ren) placed in your home)
• Maintain a clean, safe and healthy living environment
• Run a Christian household and regularly attend Christian services

Becoming an Extended Family can change your life and the life of the child(ren) forever. If asked, most would say that they have a heart for helping children in difficult situations. However, the Extended Families of Alpha-Omega take that statement to the fullest of its intention. With no financial incentive attached to giving a child the gift of a safe environment to grow in the Lord, while waiting to be reunited with their parents, the Extended Families of Alpha-Omega enjoy the purest benefits of charity and love.
