The Future of AOMH - Helping All Ages
Sharing Christ's love from the unborn to the elderly.
CHILDREN’S PROGRAM
“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me.”--Mark 9:37
Alpha-Omega Miracle Home was established in 1999 as a home for unwed pregnant mothers and their children. As a precursor to our Children’s Home, AOMH is developing an Extended Families Program to provide safe, nurturing residential care for children, newborn to age 11. This program provides a family environment with specially trained parents, who will offer biblical values and loving guidance. Much like our future Children’s Home, the Extended Families Program is designed to intervene in the life of a child, offering a stable, loving environment for children whose parents need to take time to ‘get their lives in order,’ whether it is beating a drug or alcohol addiction or overcoming multiple failures in their lives. We are committed to working alongside the parents with the goal of reuniting families. Our chief objective is to provide a caring environment in which children are safe and nurtured while offering training, education, and emotional support to the parents of the children we serve. Abandoned children are placed with loving, adoptive families.

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM FOR YOUNG MOTHERS
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”--Philippians 4:13
AOMH is a residential program in St. Augustine, Florida, for single and expecting moms. Our facility can house up to 14 single mothers and their children for up to 2 years. On-site counselors demonstrate biblical values and offer emotional support while helping the young women develop essential life and parenting skills. Weekly Bible studies and individual counseling address the emotional and spiritual needs of our residents.
In order to provide a better future for their children outside of the government Welfare system, the single moms in our residential program are required to work part time and attend school, either working to earn their GED, High School Diploma, or an Associate’s Degree. AOMH with helps them secure childcare, clothing, baby items, and transportation while these women are working toward self-sufficiency. All is provided at a truly affordable fee, substantially below our cost. No one is ever turned away for financial reasons. While instilling Christian values, the program has a lasting impact on the lives of these mothers, whether they choose parenting or the gift of adoption.
ICC HOME
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”-–1 Corinthians 12:27
In recent years, God has led young women to our maternity program who live with a traumatic brain injury or other cognitive challenges. We became aware of the lack of affordable, Christian-supported living programs for those not labeled “Developmentally Disabled,” but whose intellectual or cognitive challenges make it unrealistic and unsafe for them to live alone out in the community. After these women gave birth to their babies and presented the gift of adoption, they had no appropriate place to go. Often they end up homeless, neglected, physically and sexually abused, or victims of crime at significantly higher rates than the general population.
The staff and Board of Directors felt strongly that God did not make us aware of this need only to ignore it. Hence, the AOMH trial ICC Residential Program was launched. The goal of this program is to offer an affordable, safe place for young women, who come into our maternity program with verifiable intellectual or cognitive challenges, to call home. Staff and volunteers provide a structured routine and assistance with daily living skills, Bible studies, church activities, job training, and opportunities to serve the community through volunteering and/or working.
SENIORS PROGRAM
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”--Revelation 22:13
Our name exemplifies our vision of serving and honoring the dignity of every human life, from the unborn child to the elderly. AOMH’s Seniors Program is an independent-living residential program for underprivileged senior women. Our mission goes beyond providing affordable housing to the elderly. Alpha-Omega Miracle Home is a family environment where our older citizens are wanted and loved.
The senior residents are invited to share their wisdom and insight, becoming mentors to our younger residents with whom they regularly interact. AOMH also provides senior residents with a number of resources to keep them connected to the community, such as weekly Bible studies, opportunities to volunteer as ‘surrogate grandparents’ in our Children’s Program, and church activities. The staff, volunteers, and supporters of Alpha-Omega Miracle Home, through our residential programs, honor God’s call to “look after orphans and widows in their distress.” – James 1:27.
